V/Oct: Pitch in Volts
Modular speaks pitch in volts: one volt per octave, every module, forever. Twist the coarse knob and watch octaves appear at the scope.
Modular speaks pitch in volts. The rule is 1 volt per octave. Every module follows it.
The sequencer on the left is already running. It has 8 different voltages programmed into ROW1. Right now those voltages go nowhere. Patch ROW1 into the VCO's V/Oct input and the VCO will play a different note on each step.
Tip
V/Oct means "volts per octave." Every 1 volt moves the VCO up one octave. A semitone is 1/12 of a volt.
